Hi, my name is Xaante and I'm a 23 year old from northern Australia. I've grown up in the tropics where it's summer all year round, and where community and nature has been the core of my life.
I'm currently taking a year off studying medicine to focus on some of the other things I love, including creativity, adventure, and making new relationships.

I love anything creative from painting and pottery to weaving and mending, to writing lousy poetry (something I try not inflict on others). I still feel like a baby in the world of creativity, though, and, more than anything, would really appreciate any opportunity to learn from others.
I have always felt most at peace in the outdoors, and love gardening, camping, hiking, and exploring wilderness. I hope in my travels for the chance to learn how to better live harmoniously with nature, as both custodians and components of our environment. I'd love any opportunity to learn more about gardening, permaculture, tending animals, and ecosystem and wilderness care.
I enjoy chatting and forming genuine connections with others, and how this can enable us to see the world through others' eyes. I love cooking, or rather the act of sharing cooked food with others as an expression of love. I like reading and learning new things.

I have grown up on a small hobby farm, so have very basic experiences with gardening and farm work.
I have work experience in tutoring, babysitting, and as a school teacher's aide.
I have training in first and CPR, and have a high health literacy.
I enjoy cooking and housework and DIY projects of all kinds!

More than anything though I am a fast learner and a hard worker, and am keen to learn anything that will make me more helpful.
