Description
Ciao, hi there!
I have done quite a bit of voluntary work for over 15 years years in several countries, both Wwoof and Workaway. What motivates me is the great way it offers to see what the actual way of life is. No sitting in hotels or hanging at the beach or cafe all day for me though! I feel at my best when I'm useful and my many skills are needed and appreciated. Especially in a place of timeless natural beauty. It is a hard to describe feeling when you see it, but it feels like a longing deep inside of me that wants to come out. It has something to do with being in contact with a quiet 'timelessness' that keeps my mind grounded. I have always felt I was born for it and at home there just isn't enough of it. My goal is to find it and settle somewhere in the coming years. -

More details about your skills
I am a bit of a 43 yr old veteran volunteer, but as a result I acquired quite a few skills in my time. I am a professional gardener, so I am proficient in the use of any handtool, small machines like brush cutters to chainsaws. Also larger machines like small to large mowers of any type, tractors from 2 wheel ones to large 4x4's.
I have extensive knowledge about plants and trees. Also I have a responsible conscientious mind and will not damage your equipment. Likely they will work better after I left. I am familiar with almost any garden skill or job, although my heart mostly goes out to vegetable gardens/orchards. Because of my own vegetable garden I have plenty of experience in that too. I am skilled and comfortable with any part of off-grid life because I already do it back home. I have build my own offgrid house, so I can use pretty much any handtool or electric equipment and know my way around wood. I can work metal and tought myself welding.
More skills are firewood processing and stacking, generic painting, 12V solar offgrid systems, chopping and stacking wood, generic water systems, plumbing and simple electrical jobs, bread baking & furniture fixing. I have a drivers license + experience towing trailers. -
