Description
As a working father of four, I have navigated a sometimes quite turbulent family life for over 20 years. This has kept me healthy, and I feel physically fit. Throughout these years, I have always stayed active—I regularly play volleyball in a club every week, which I thoroughly enjoy. I am married and live with my family in a small village just outside the Berlin city limits. Over the years, my wife and I have renovated and adapted our home to suit our family’s needs, keeping everything in good repair. Our property also includes a large plot of land and a meadow that require ongoing maintenance. Over time, I have developed effective routines for managing the many tasks around the house and grounds alongside my professional work. We love our home and enjoy our life close to nature, spending a great deal of time outdoors—gardening, preparing firewood, carrying out repairs, or tackling specific projects, such as building a patio area or constructing a carport.
For the past decade, my family vacations have consistently taken us to Scandinavia. I am fascinated by the nature of Northern Europe and the spirit of the local people. During these trips, I have always had the chance to experience mountains, forests, and the sea firsthand. The deep connection to nature that characterizes the Scandinavian way of life resonates strongly with me. I would love to learn more about this lifestyle; I am interested in traveling on my own and joining a community that needs a helping hand with daily tasks—whether on a farm or in the forest. I am also happy to assist with construction and renovation work. Please note, however, that I am neither a fisherman nor a cook.
In 2025 and 2026, I had the opportunity to spend time in Sweden, Iceland, and Finland as a "Workawayer." In the process, I had some wonderful experiences, and I believe I was able to provide effective support to my host families with the tasks that needed to be done on their farms. -

What else ...

The tasks were varied and interesting,
yet also demanding—such as clearing undergrowth
from a young pine plantation using a brush cutter.
I really liked the accommodation in the house (room, bathroom, and kitchen).
