Description
Hello, i am a full time artist, i travelled around the world in my younger years and i am keen to give back some of what i received. I volunteered in some farms and it was a great experience, plus cheap way to know countries and meet people. My project focuses on art and sustainability, i have a large garden with a couple of cabins, we collect rainwater, we compost and have a vegetable garden. We have 3 rescued dogs that are lovely and there is always lots to do. It serves as artists residences and courses workshops, I think its paradise... But paradise is only paradise when it is shared. The whole name is "culture and art production workshop"

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
We are in tepoztlan, morelos, mexico. Tepoztlan is a beautiful colonial little town, very quaint... It has prehispanic ruins, an amazing market and church, and is very cosmopolitan, many artists live here, and many locals ina very interesting sinergy. It is close to cuernavaca, also known as the place of eternal spring. Mexico city is about an hour away. I have an enormous interest in plants, medicinal plants and how to use them, planting gardening, permaculture and so on, plus depending on what project I'm involved in, ther might be some woodworking, etching, monotypes, painting and/or sculpture...
Help
There is a lot of gardening, pet sitting, some woodwork, clay, various experiments with cement and also permaculture... There are no fixed chores, it changes permanently, so active and flexible travellers wanting to learn about a variety of crafts are the target. The only must is a love of animals and nature. I will be around to teach and share about half the time, otherwise i pretty much leave volunteers to work on their own, with the assigned tasks. Volunteers are expected to work four hours a day in average, and have 2 free days a week off.

I will provide a cabin with own bathroom and shower, shared kitchen some days, perhaps some camping too if the cabin is rented out, not more than 3 days, i will provide tent and bedding. Also i will get stuff for breakfasts and some extras, but the preparing/cooking is not provided.
I will provide basic ingredients to prepare meals, veggies, fruits, eggs, ham, cheese and the occasional tamales or local quesadillas, but volunteers will prepare their own meals 4 hours a day are expected, but it depends on the work that has to be done and volunteers can very much organize their own schedule. 5 working days a week and 2 free days if stay is longer than 2 weeks, otherwise, one free day. What else ...
Bring work clothes, perhaps some boots if you want to do some hiking, the area is perfect for exploring the woods and surrounding areas . Keeping all the areas clean is a must, no smoking in the cabins, no parties or inviting people i do not know... Respect for nature and for the space too. A little housekeeping is expected. Lots to do around town and frequent bus rides to cuernavaca and mexico city.
