Hi,
I'm a medical student now, so I spend most of my time at uni. Before starting uni I travelled around the world in a gap year. I worked on an organic farm in Canada for three months and travelled to the US and New Zealand, going hiking with friends or staying on beef cattle and horse trekking farms. I've explored parts of Outback Australia and Southeast Asia.
I want to see new places AND get in touch with locals- that's why I do workaway, apart from the endless opportunities to learn, about farming, about culture, about life.
I´m more of a creative person. I like to knit and sew and I also love sports. In my free time I go horse riding, swimming, biking, hiking, climbing,... I play the cello and I enjoy baking bread and baguette. I'd like to spend more time on farms as I enjoy working around animals and because it is fulfilling work.
Two years ago I trained to be a paramedic assistant ('Rettungssanitäterin') and I work as an ambulance driver a couple of times a month.

I am experienced with animals, I have worked around sheep, pigs, ducks, geese, chickens, horses, dogs and cats. I am used to feeding and watering animals, mucking out, fencing. Recently I stayed on a sheep farm in spring and learned how to deliver and care for lambs.
I have been doing horse sports for several years (riding, vaulting).
I did some garden work (weeding, watering). Wherever I´m familiar with the local flora, I gather herbs and use them for cooking/ baking. I also love picking fruit.
I don't really cook that often, maybe once a week. Recently I got into doing currys. I do everything that has to do with baking (bread, cake, baguette/croissants, pizza,..). I´ve got some cooking on multi-day-hikes on a portable stove.
Last year I painted my room and put up a new shelf.
I have my own (private) blog on Instagram where I post photos and write longer texts, also basic skills with Microsoft Office, video cutting, photography (landscapes; close-ups of animals and humans ;-)...
I am also very eager to try and learn new things!
