Description
After a sudden downsizing in the company I worked for the last 19 years, I was sent home with a modest unemployment package and a whole year ahead of me to reflect on my life and to explore the opportunities which the world can offer. It was my dream for a long time to travel, work and live without day-to-day plans, family and children responcibilities and deadlines. As a long-term member of the Couchsurfing community (115 positive references so far) I've met many people roaming the world this way, wondering if I will get out of my comfort zone and do the same some day.
I believe I'm reliable and responsible person, trying to live in harmony with people and the nature.

Dear friends,
After many years of active Couchsurfing membership (with more than 100 references) now I have much more free time and decided to explore the longer stays abroad as an Workawayer by helping my hosts with everything they need - house sitting, gardening, cooking, taking care of elderly people, small house maintenance (painting, electricity...). I an in my 60s, love mountaneering, biking and kayaking. I am calm, honest and well organized, EU citizen. I live in Sofia, capital of Bulgaria, in a nice 2-bedroom appartment which I ofthen share for free with international Couchsurfing guest as a cultural exchange. -
