Hi!
I am Verena, a classical guitarist and guitar teacher from Vienna (AT) who has been living in Linz (AT) since 2014. Studies and the interest in living abroad brought me to Hamburg (DE) and Oslo (NOR). Besides teaching, practicing, performing and organizing guitar concerts in Linz, I love hanging out with friends, traveling to new places and exploring the nature and cultures.

Whenever I can, I go hiking and spend time outdoors, which brings me peace and relaxation. Some other hobbies: I play the fairly unknown but best sport Ultimate Frisbee (which you should definitely check out and try!), I cook and bake, go to cultural events, read, do handcrafting, sing in a choir and take care of my big plant family.

I like learning new things like how to grow food, speak a new language, repair/build things or get back to horse back riding.

Speaking different languages opens doors to other cultures and people which I find very interesting. I am therefor open to learn new ones and teach or help out with some of my already learned ones.

One of my best skills is my motivation to do the things in the best and efficient way (regardless whether it's teaching, cooking, cleaning, working in a garden or repairing things).

Besides my skills to teach guitar, I can offer experience in
- teaching languages
- taking care of children
- tourism (I worked many years as a waitress)
- horses (I went riding when I was a teenager. It's rusty now, but not gone, especially being around horses)
- cooking, baking
- plants (sadly only indoor so far, but I'd love to take it outdoors)
- cleaning, painting the walls, basic tool handling
...

In anyway - I am very motivated to learn and develope new skills and am not scared of getting dirty hands or feet.

What else ...

Travelling means meeting new people and cultures and Workaway would combine this in a very meaningful way. I'd love to dive deeper into the cultures and people's lives of countries that I visit. I appreciate the idea of exchanging skills/knowledge/help that is offered in this setting.
