####UPDATE 2025:
After travelling to India in 2024, I'm back in Germany. Planning to come back to India, possibly end of the year.

To give you a glimpse of what I'm up to:

I'm a professional writer and video editor and from 2015-2020 I've (more or less) been living a nomad life. I have spent over one year in New Zealand and a lot of time in different european countires, especially in Italy. But also I fell in love with India, where I feel at home in a different way.

About a decade ago I studied journalism and media management and gathered various types of work experience (in video production companies, agencies, online magazines). Apart from media companies I have worked in hospitality for quite some time.

I love nature and spent lots of time hiking. I'm hoping to do that more again.

Currently I'm working as a freelance writer and coach for visionaries, located in Munich, Germany, studying yoga and buddhist teaching, travelling frequently to find inspiration and live life.

#### Some other volunteer jobs/projects I've worked on in the past years:

- 2015: farm hand at a cattle farm in Austria
- 2015: trail maintenance in the german alps
- 2016: building toilets after a cyclone in Fiji / humanitarian aid
- 2016: planting and cutting trees in New Zealand (several conservation projects and pest control)
- 2015-2019: cleaning, bedmaking and reception in several hostels (New Zealand, Poland, Italy)
- 2020: volunteering in a hotel in Jaisalmer, India.
- 2024 volunteering in Kathmandu, Nepal at a homestay

If I'm not volunteering, working or walking in nature I'm mainly writing on my blog growthbuddy.rocks and read books about ancient philosophy (mainly).

#### What brought me here?

To make it short: my curiosity and my desire to live life!

Here on workaway I am especially interested in physcial work, but of course I'm helping you with your content strategy for social media / website or video if you need help with that.

It would be great to find a balance between computer work and work outdoors or with people.

If you are planning a video production oder website copy, I am happy to help you (I could also bring equipment if you want). We can discuss it in advance.

It is my strength to solve all sorts of creative challenges. It is my speciality to help people get "unstuck" if they feel trapped in a creative process or something like that. Please feel free to talk to me about that.

For me workaway is a great opportunity to broaden my horizon and challenge my limits. Also I really like to experience different ways of living in order to understand this world better and feel connected.

In January I spent a few days at Dave's and Nikkis place. (Sorry for my late feedback.) They are very welcoming and generous people and really want to share the beauty of their property. I was more or less on the run and couldn't stay longer, but I had the chance to get to know their lifestyle. Thanks for the experience.

Ulrike worked really hard, feeding cows and calves, driving Quad & tractor and mowing lawns. She really helped us clean up the place for which we are very grateful.
Highly recommend Ulrike and she's welcome to return anytime she wants, maybe this time to relax and chill out more.

I have to say she is a hard worker and always had a smile on her face even when hours were long.She learnt to feed calves and milk cows and drive tractors independently.I wouldn't hesitate in recommending her for work aways..
