  • Description

I am Ton and want to introduce myself. I am just retired and have next to my voluntary work and hobbies time to spare. I would like to go abroad and experience how life is in small communities especially in a beautiful countryside. I also want to improve my English and German.

My favourite hobbies are cooking, hiking, horse riding, golf, bridge, fishing and also reading and going to the theatre/movies. I also love to play board games.

My voluntary work is about once a week cooking in a hospice for persons in their end of life. I also help people which have debts, in becoming financially self-supporting.

I am not scared of physical work, also in less favourite weather conditions. In the last years I renovated my own shower and repainted my own house and that of my girlfriend, both inside and outside. I am an early riser, mostly between six and half past six. Household tasks are no problem at all as I am living alone. I like to cook especially for my family and friends.

I started a grandma’s garden two years ago and find myself becoming more and more enthusiastic about it, despite the abundant presence of hungry snails. I would really like to learn more about organic gardening.

In my working life I was an information manager; the linking pin between the commercial business and the IT department. A lot of the conversations and writing was in English because of developers living in different parts of Europe. I really want to improve my English regarding normal day to day conversations, culture and politics.

I have a son and a daughter, both living on there own and a girlfriend . My girlfriend still has to work for the next couple of years, so i have to explore the world by my own.

I hope you got an impression of who I am, regards Ton
