Hi, I’m Tommy and I’m new to workaway. I have just finished my degree in physics at the University of Bath, and before I get started with a career I have the desire to travel as much as possible and learn from different cultures/from those with differing points of view.
Also, I would very much like to avoid having any regrets regarding taking advantage of my youth and I believe it is important to go off the beaten path rather than getting stuck in the ‘rat race’.
I am a very curious person and can take a lot of things in my stride. I enjoy various forms of exercise including Brazilian jiu jitsu and running, and I like to try out other things too.
I took 7 years of Spanish before university, so whilst I have a good level of ability, I am not fluent and am quite rusty. Therefore, I would like to spend some time in Spain to re-immerse myself in both the language and the culture.
Finally, I would find it to be very rewarding to offer my time and efforts to those who might need a helping hand!

I am a very good learner. I am up for any task (unless it’s to do with great heights!) and consider myself to be a capable person, both mentally and physically.

For example, I am by no means talented when it comes to physics, but still managed to obtain a degree in the subject through very hard work.

I am not a tradesman but can assist and learn quickly to carry out basic tasks.
If you need help gardening, building, etc. I’ll do my best and get stuck in 100%!
