Hi! Im Tommy and I’m a 19 year old girl from the Netherlands. I love (making) music and doing all kinds of sports. I’ve been playing the piano since I was young and I love to drum and (try to) play the guitar. I also really like kickboxing and soccer and have done it for many years, but I basically like any sport or I'm willing to try new ones. Besides that, I love being creative and doing things like drawing, painting, photgraphy and videography. Apart from all these things I’m really into travelling. I've been in Canada since October 2023 and made wonderful memories at different workaways. I love nature, animals (especially dogs!!) and cold weather, so I think I’m in Canada at the right place. I'm looking forward to meeting new people, having conversations and sharing thoughts and experiences.

Work experience:
I've worked in a restaurant and have experience babysitting.

Skills:
I'm good with kids and animals. I've never had a dog of my own, but I always found a way to take care of one :)
I'm sportive and capable of doing physical tasks.
My cooking skills are definitely improving, but I'm still learning. If you give me a recipe, we'll be fine!
I can use a camera and video editing programs.
If interested, I can teach you some piano, basic drumming, kickboxing, soccer or Dutch.
I'm familiar with working on a sailing ship.
During my workaways I've learned to handle wood and different types of electric saws.

I'm very flexible, positive and curious, I love to learn new things.

What else ...

I'm still figuring out what I want to study after my gapyear and I'm trying to get more insights about some subjects while I'm here in Canada. I'm particularly interested in Psychology, filmmaking, architecture and working in health care.

Some other things I'm interested in are pottery, making furniture and interior design.
