About Us
We are Tommas (28) and Emily (26), two native English speakers currently in Thailand, looking for English teaching opportunities. We have both completed our 120-hour TEFL certifications and are excited to put these to good use!
Emily
Emily has teaching experience in Thailand and Germany. In Thailand, she taught English to small groups of students aged 15–25 over a 12-month period. Her lessons focused on speaking, listening, grammar, and practical language use.
In Germany, she worked as a tutor in Berlin supporting child refugees aged 6–12 with English, German, and mathematics. She also volunteered with a local NGO delivering coding workshops for primary school students.
Emily is currently studying for an M.A. in English Language Teaching and Acquisition in Multilingual Contexts and is keen to develop as an ESL teacher.
Tommas
Tommas holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work and a 120-hour TEFL Certificate. He has worked as a social worker for the last five years in Australia, Germany, and England.
His experience includes working closely with children, young people, and adults in a range of community and support settings, as well as facilitating group activities and providing one-to-one support. He is now transitioning into English teaching and is keen to gain hands-on classroom experience.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for Workaway placements related to English teaching, tutoring, or educational support. We are open to different age groups and teaching contexts and are happy to support schools, community organisations, or families with English learning.
