Description
Hi all! I'm Toby. I just finished my degree in mechanical engineering and am eager to explore. I grew up in coastal Maine and spent my time wandering through our woods, mountains, ocean, and islands. This left me with a deep affection for the outdoors. My greatest passion has always been flight and about two years ago I learned to hang glide. I'd love to find myself in locations where I have the opportunity to fly. I'm also into surfing, sailing, diving, long distance running, skiing, hiking, ..... really anything in nature. I love to create things and work with my hands, whether that be sculpture making, woodworking, engineering, carpentry, or cooking. I've found that I'm happiest with minimal structure in my life so if you're also a play-it-by-ear sorta person I'm sure we'll get along, and if not, I'm sure we'll still get along! Anyways, I'm excited to go on some adventures and get to know people along the way. Cheers!

I have been building and inventing things my whole life, so I am experienced with most any tools/equipment and have a good head for design/construction. I worked as a carpentry assistant renovating a barn, as a dock hand at a boat yard, at a sailboat club maintaining boats, and for a marine construction company. I've also done a number of odd jobs here and there, things like painting, construction, and shoveling snow. I am down to try any sort of work as well and am a fast learner. I love to cook too.

Like I said earlier, I fly hang gliders and would love to be somewhere where that is possible. I live in Boston, MA, USA for college and in my free time, I love exploring the city. I recently got this inflatable row bout that I take out on the Charles River occasionally. In general, I like trying new things and am excited to meet people from around the world!
