I'm a British/Irish artist and activist from the UK, working in urban planning and environmental sustainability, with a previous background in performance arts. It's important to me to practice ethical and mindful lifestyle choices in all aspects of my life, but it's a constant learning journey being a human and living in a very imperfect world... for example I've followed a plant-based diet for almost a decade, practice conscious non-violence inside and out, always trying to reduce my carbon footprint as much as possible... whilst accepting that I'm only one person and the real changes that the world needs can only come through building community, taking collective action, thinking big and acting small. I live for authentic connection, always working to stay in touch with my higher self and with nature through embodied practice: yoga, meditation, dancing, climbing trees and big bear hugs. Have been around alternative communities (in particular the burning man community) for a few years, love the culture of co-creation and radically safe spaces, also exploring the Buddha/Dharma/Sangha for a little over a year and holding intention to lean more into the spiritual path as I learn and grow.
I love to travel when opportunities present themselves: in my twenties I toured theatre shows all over the UK and Germany, as well as parts of China, but have been more rooted in one place for the last few years. My first foray into workaway was a road-trip up the North American west coast (LA to BC), stopping along the way at a handful of awesome permaculture and land-based communities. I spent some time volunteering on a small olive farm in southern Spain more recently, and am looking forward to another adventure soon.Interests

I wouldn't claim to be a specialist in much besides performance, but I'm guessing there won't be much call for accent mimicry or Shakespeare recitals. I'm a bit of a jack-of-all-trades/master of none really; I certainly don't mind rolling my sleeves up and getting stuck into most handy tasks, and I'm generally pretty good with people (young, old and in-between). I have my (UK) motorcycle and truck driver's licences. I'm particularly interested in languages and besides learning German at college I taught myself Swedish (and am currently learning French).
