I’m available in July and August 2026, ideally for around 1–2 weeks, possibly longer if it works well for both sides.


Hi, I’m Sota from Japan. I’m currently completing my master’s degree at the University of Edinburgh.

Before leaving the UK, I would love to experience more local life, especially in quieter rural areas, and help with animals, gardening, simple DIY, cooking, cleaning, house sitting, or general household tasks.

I’m tidy, responsible, easy-going and respectful of other people’s homes. I enjoy walking, cycling, nature, local communities, good conversations, and learning about how people live in different places. I can also share Japanese culture, cooking, language, and stories from Japan if you are interested.

At the moment I’m also writing my master’s dissertation, so I’m looking for a calm place where I can help responsibly during agreed hours, while also having some quiet time and reliable Wi-Fi for writing and research.

I’m looking forward to meeting kind hosts, helping where I can, and experiencing everyday life rather than only travelling as a tourist.
