Hi, I’m Sophia, 27 years old and from Germany. What makes me happy is trying new things and learning directly from life. I’m an extroverted person who loves meeting people, exploring different cultures and tasting (vegetarian) food from all over the world.

For a long time, I thought I wasn’t very good with languages, until I started (solo) traveling. Being on my own in different countries has changed that completely and taught me more than I ever expected.

I’ve explored a few different paths already: I studied Business Informatics for my Bachelor’s degree, worked as an au pair in Sweden, completed a Master's degree in Sustainable Tourism Development (which was truly close to my heart) and spent a semester abroad in Finland. Afterwards, I worked in the tourism sector in Germany for almost two years, surrounded by the famous diseny castle and the mountains.

For me, life is about being connected — with people, with nature and also with yourself. I love stepping outside my comfort zone, cooking together with others and having deep conversations with people from all around the world.

When I’m not traveling with my backpack, I enjoy spending time with my partner Sebastian in our camper Oscar, exploring new places and appreciating the simplicity.
