Hi there, nice to meet you! :)
We are Ruth and Jan, a German couple, based in Barcelona,Spain.
We have been together for 10 years, and after living in Spain for the 3 past years, we have decided to quit our corporate jobs and take a gap year to travel the world in 2026!
Our first stop is going to be Brazil and then we would like to continue travelling South America and also make our way to Asia later on. We are looking for authentic experiences and would like to meet locals and lend a hand wherever needed.
We are very easy-going, open-minded and communicative people and can adapt easily.

Ruth:
- Studies / work experience : I have a background in Marketing/ events and worked with company clients in my last role.
- Languages : My mother tongue is German but I also speak French, English and Spanish fluently and am currently learning Portuguese. Always open to converse in different languages or to teach you a bit of German.
- Experience with kids : I have worked as an Au-Pair with host families in France and Spain
- I love cooking inventing fancy recipes (veggie / pescatarian)
- Crochet / knitting : I am not an expert but I already did my first summer hat, a cardigan / sweater and a little bag ;)
Jan:
- Studies / work experience: studies in business administration, work experience in finance and software sales
- Languages: German (mother tongue), English (fluent), Spanish (intermediate and happy to practice)
- Music: producing music since 15 years (mostly Techno, House Music, but also LoFi), happy to show you music making programs
- Sports: playing football since I was 6, so always open for a match. Besides that I also like volleyball, padel and skiing. Would love to learn surfing / kite surfing
