Description
We are a small family of three - My husband, daughter and I. We live in our private home in Yonkers, Westchester county, New York, in a quiet residential neighborhood. We are an hour away from New York City- "The City That Never Sleeps"
I enjoy being a Workawayer as well as a host, I have traveled extensively. We have had some amazing experiences hosting international guests. We are easy going and love meeting people from all walks of life and sharing experiences.
Our lives are pretty fast paced and we could use some help around the house and some projects. l work full time in a high school as a School Counselor and my husband is an accountant by career but prefers to teach. We want to learn about other cultures and get to know the diversity of people from all walks of life.
I love New York because of it's cosmopolitan, vibrant cultural life, and diverse population, energy and world class food options- Lots of attractions and sightseeing.
My family enjoy traveling/exploring, reading, outdoor activities, gardening, jogging and running and we engage in un paid volunteer work on weekends.

My work consisted of painting the walls in the backyard and in front of the house.
Pat was an amazing host, giving me full flexibility about the work and with that giving me a lot of time to visit NYC.
The City Center is about 1,5 hours by bus/subway and i've managed to go to the city… read more
Everyone was very patient with me despite my terrible level of English... Pat really cares about his hosts. I was able to combine my help with DIY work with a visit to the city. it was really a great experience!
Luca assisted my husband with mounting some poles for our shade, cement work, made flower beds, re-graded the side of our house by leveling it down as well as soil removal.
Don't miss an opportunity to have him over, highly recommended.
