Hola,

Somos Fanny y Rui, una pareja de felices aventureros en busca de nuevas experiencias humanas y solidarias. Después de vivir juntos en Perú, decidimos dejar nuestros respectivos trabajos para viajar por América Latina, comprometiéndonos juntos en proyectos de protección del medio ambiente, agricultura sostenible y justicia social. Queremos regresar a lo esencial, hacer encuentros enriquecedores, aprender y compartir con los demás.

Me presento, soy Rui. Soy un gran apasionado del café y de la cocina, por eso decidí hacer de ello mi profesión y trabajar en restaurantes y cafeterías especializadas. Soy muy sensible al arte y me gustaría poder vivir de él algún día. Me gusta escribir poesía, pintar, leer y la fotografía. En el pasado, viajé mucho y descubrí la práctica del yoga. Me encanta la belleza y la simplicidad del momento presente. Sé lo importante que es proteger lo que nos rodea y comprometernos con causas en las que creemos. Hace algunos años, viví una experiencia significativa donde hice un voluntariado de tres meses cultivando papas y yucas en Cusco con personas increíbles. Sueño con volver a tener ese contacto con la tierra y crear vínculos con las personas que la protegen.

¡Y yo soy Fanny! Sociable y curiosa, me gusta vivir en comunidad y en contextos interculturales. Después de haber vivido en varios países para realizar voluntariados internacionales, disfruto hablar varios idiomas y debatir sobre todo tipo de temas alrededor de buenos platos compartidos. Abogada en derecho ambiental, me gusta alejarme de los textos legales y actuar de manera concreta en el terreno, participando en proyectos medioambientales que tienen sentido para mí. En España, durante un año, trabajé una vez por semana en una finca agroecológica y en meliponicultura, y en Perú participé en la gestión administrativa de un proyecto de cacao y café en agroforestería. Amante del aire libre, me gustan las actividades al exterior como el senderismo y el surf, y soy apasionada por la observación de aves. Deseo seguir aprendiendo siempre de los hermosos encuentros que se presenten en mi camino.

Somos personas muy motivadas, dinámicas, ordenadas y respetuosas del espacio de cada uno. ¡Somos vegetarianos, por lo cual preferimos encontrar un voluntariado en el cual podamos encontrar esta opción. Ya tenemos muchas ganas de conocerles!

We are Fanny and Rui, a happy couple of adventurers seeking new human and solidarity-driven experiences. After living together in Peru, we decided to leave our jobs behind to travel across Latin America, dedicating ourselves to environmental protection, sustainable agriculture, and social justice projects. Our goal is to return to the essentials, while creating enriching encounters, learning, and sharing with others.

Let me introduce myself: I’m Rui. I’m passionate about coffee and cooking, which led me to make it my profession, working in specialty restaurants and cafes. I’m also deeply moved by art and hope to one day live off of it. I enjoy writing poetry, painting, reading, and photography. I traveled extensively in the past, and it was during this time that I discovered yoga. I find great joy in the beauty and simplicity of the present moment. I truly understand the importance of protecting our environment and committing to the causes that matter to us. A few years ago, I had a significant experience volunteering for three months in Cusco, where I worked with wonderful people growing potatoes and cassava. I dream of reconnecting with the land and building relationships with those who protect it.

And I’m Fanny! I’m social and curious, and I love living in community and intercultural settings. After living in several countries for international volunteer work, I enjoy speaking multiple languages and engaging in meaningful conversations over shared meals. I’m an environmental lawyer, but I prefer stepping away from legal texts and taking concrete action on the ground by contributing to environmental projects that resonate with me. In Spain, I spent a year working once a week on an agroecological farm and learning about meliponiculture, and in Peru, I supported the administrative side of a cacao and coffee agroforestry project. A lover of nature, I enjoy hiking, surfing, and I’m passionate about birdwatching. I’m always eager to keep learning from the beautiful encounters life brings my way.

We are motivated, dynamic, organized, and respectful of personal space. As vegetarians, we’d prefer to find a volunteer opportunity where that option is available. We’re really looking forward to meeting you!
