Hi, we are Rose and Charline, best friends for over ten years now. Both of us are creative, independent, and endlessly curious souls, eager to roll up our sleeves, discover new cultures, and contribute meaningfully to the communities we become a part of.


My name is Rose, I'm 23 years old and I'm based in Aix-en-Provence, in the south of France. I'm currently completing a Master's degree in Art History, with a focus on Islamic art collectors in Europe a field I find endlessly rich, sitting at the intersection of cultural exchange, provenance, and collecting history.
The arts are truly at the heart of who I am. I play the cello and occasionally sing, and beyond music, history and art history shape the way I see and engage with the world. Whether I'm researching a collection, standing in front of a work, or simply exploring a city, art is always my frame of reference.
I love being close to nature. In Aix-en-Provence, I live in a large house with 7 amazing people, and we grow our own vegetable garden. Plant care, environmental preservation, and hiking are all things I'm passionate about.
Living with others has profoundly shaped the way I engage with the world. Sharing a home with seven people has taught me that community is not just about coexistence, it's also about building something together, whether that's a meal, a garden, or simply a conversation that stretches late into the evening. This sense of togetherness has deepened my relationships. I can bring a range of practical skills to any community. I have hands-on experience with vegetable gardening from planting and weeding to harvesting and I am comfortable with the rhythms of collective living, from shared cooking to keeping common spaces clean and welcoming. I speak French natively, English fluently, and Italian at a conversational level, which makes communication across different contexts easy and natural. Beyond that, my background in art history has given me a genuine passion for promoting artists and meaningful places. I enjoy creating content for social media that highlights the people and spaces that deserve to be seen. Whether the work calls for physical effort, creative input, or simply reliable and cheerful participation, I am ready to give it my full commitment
A Workaway experience would allow me to carry this further immersing myself in a new community, contributing meaningfully to a shared project, and continuing to learn from the people and places that surround me. And what better way to discover a new culture than by living it firsthand, side by side with the people who call it home !

Hi there!
My name is Charline, I’m 22 years old and currently completing a Master's degree in Documentary Film Production and Directing in Lyon, France. If you ever need help with video editing, filming, or creative projects, I would be happy to contribute my skills.
What I love most about documentary filmmaking is meeting new people, discovering different ways of life, and learning from perspectives that are different from my own. This is also what I enjoy so much about Workaway: the opportunity to immerse myself in a completely new environment, share experiences, and learn from one another.
In my free time, I love being outdoors. I enjoy swimming in the sea, hiking, exploring new places, and learning about their history and culture. I am a very sociable person who loves listening to people’s stories and sharing experiences.
I have already completed two Workaway stays, both of which were amazing experiences. They allowed me to grow, meet wonderful people, and discover new ways of living, which is why I would love to continue this adventure.
I am also passionate about learning languages. I speak French, English, Spanish, and a little Italian, and I always enjoy practicing and discovering new cultures through language.

I hold a Master's degree in Art History with a specialization in provenance research and Islamic art, as well as a dual background in law a combination that has sharpened my analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle complex research.
I have professional experience in the auction house world and in collections management, and a keen eye for visual content and storytelling. Practically speaking, I am comfortable in the kitchen, experienced with vegetable gardening, and at ease in shared living environments. I play the cello, speak French natively, English fluently, and Italian conversationally, and I have a genuine enthusiasm for promoting artists and places through social media. Above all, I show up fully curious, adaptable, and ready to learn.

Charline :
