Hi! I'm Roos (all pronouns), I'm on WorkAway to meet people and to learn and help with projects related to ecology and the weaving together of the social and the ecological, regenerative agriculture, community-building, creativity, activism, ...

When I'm not traveling, I live in Gent, Belgium and am dreaming of starting a regenerative farm and social-ecological cultural center close to Gent together with a group of people.

I enjoy being part of the natural world, and practicing in staying tuned to that. I also enjoy reading a lot. I enjoy being creative, creating in all kinds of ways, dancing, singing (even though i'm sometimes shy, but i like continuously learning together to be more confident in our bodies, to live freely) I can be very social at times, and at other times more turned inwards, it depends. Most importantly, I value genuine connections, where everyone can be themselves.

I am an ecologist and so have quite some knowledge about this, but am also continuously learning, and every place is different and has its own particularities :) This is related to permaculture, so I have some knowledge of gardening, but am still learning a lot

I am creative, and have participated in different artistic classes and projects (writing, theatre, visual arts, ...), but i still consider myself an amateur. It's more for fun than like a big skill

I have quite some experience with community-building, having been part of different cohousings and activist groups. But of course, like with ecology, every group is different, so there I'm also continuously learning

I was at the place for about 2 weeks and had a very nice time. The atmosphere was warm and the place was beautiful and interesting. I enjoyed hosting Roos a lot. She is a calm but powerful person and always happy to do something. She helped in our garden and it looked so beautiful after, she carried heave tree trunks in the forest and helped in preparing cultural events like pizzaparty or ecstatic dance.
I would love to host her again :)
