Description
Looking for other Nomad buddies to split accommodation costs and do activitues with! 😊
Currently In Taiwan until October. I'm an online english teacher, so I can definitely help those who want to improve english as part of work-away exchange.
In October 2020 I left the UK after quitting my job and set out on a travel by workaway trip. Almost three years have past now. I like a good exchange which is mutual and meaningful and prefer to work on interesting projects where I can challenge myself and learn new things in the process.
I recently designed, created and published my own website about slow nomad travel and trail running:) If you want to take a look.

I want to learn and practice as much as possible in order to create my own project some day. This learning could be in the form of being given a project to work out the solution and method my own way or working alongside people who already have the knowledge to share. I consider myself a resourceful, methodical, creative and a problems solver.
My principal motivations and passions in life are exploring, experimenting, endurance sports in nature, conservation, languages, the environment, growing/finding natural food and spending time trying to appreciate life! I like meeting new people with similar interests from all backgrounds.
I generally need (and like to have) time to think about things before doing anything and I'm a person who likes relaxing times with others and by myself, I work a job to the best of my ability and generally like things to be simple, methodical and unstressed. I don't work well in a last minute, disorganized, rushed environment, sorry !Interests

More details about your skills
I work best at my own pace working methodicaly and thoroughly to try and finnish to a high standard. My brain doesnt work so great as a "last minute/rush" as it only has 2 gears and one is neutral ! haha.
The main ways i can help with no real instruction neccesary are in gardening/farming/permerculture/standard DIY type jobs. At home i have grown a lot of my own food for the past 4 years and I also forage in my spare time for berries/mushrooms etc. i can sow, plant, prepare land and maintain the plants with no problem.
Though workaway im the last 2 years i've gained a lot more knowledge, practice & confidence in DIY and trade type jobs and can do all the standard stuff without intruction but still always looking to learn and practice more specialist skills.
For example, I have gained additional experience in;
Masonry projects such as stone wall building (dry and minimal cement) and also stone path laying.
Carpentry projects eg. i made bamboo benches and tables.
Standard DIY skills and things like sanding, painting, sawing, drilling etc
Electrical projects - I could assist somebody due to my experience in my previous job and im hoping to work on a larger off grid green electrical systems at some point to gain more experience in that specifically. I set up a small scale solar lighting system with panels, car battery, inverter and lights on the Azores.
However .... Disclaimer :) ....... This is still workaway and you are after a professional job in quick time, support a local professional...
Cooking - My vegetarian skills have improved a lot recently although outside of my own kitchen it can be another story! where is my blender !? I can make indian, middle east, and pizzas for example. i dont follow recipes the result is also random !
Languages - Native English, Advanced Spanish & Portuguese. If im in a ESP or PT speaking country I'll be speaking those 95% of the time. I can definetly help translations between English and either of the other two.
Generally im open to learn any new skill and how help out where necessary, the only thing that is definetly not me is art projects ! but i can sharpen pencils for the artists !Age

What else ...
I love being outside, camping, hiking, exploring mountains, trails. forests and lakes. Im interested in wild plants and wildlife. At home i practice yoga too to loosen up the legs after a long run.
My travel highlights are camping / hiking 2 months in Patagonia, hitchhiking 5000km in Argentina, working with sea turtles in Guatemala, voluneering in Choco region Colombia, spending 2 months in Nepal and travelling on the trans siberian railway. Some more information
