Hi everyone - Ciao a tutti
I'm Riccardo, a 27 years old from a small village of the Italian countryside.
Growing up and helping around on a farm gave me the interest in nature and eating good food. When I travel in fact, I always look for visiting new places and trying new dishes from all over the globe.
If I asked my friends to describe me, they'd probably say I'm the most adventurous in the group and someone who's reliable and very curious. When I'm with them, we enjoy going on hikes or sharing a meal together.
On my free time I enjoy going on hikes or swimming in the ocean - the latter being my favorite - or cooking with others, I love the idea of meeting with others and everyone cooks a meal from their homeplace. I'm also very keen on getting to know people from other countries and learning new languages.
Through Workaway I hope to connect with new, cool people and experience everything another country has to offer. I've already done some WWOOF, thus I'm not a beginner with this sort of volunteering.

Learning new languages is a big interest of mine. Currently, I'm keen on learning and improving my Japanese and Tahitian too. But actually I'd like to learn any language. -

I got the chance to study in Italy for my BA and in Austria for my MA degree. My major was Languages & Intercultural Mediation, whereas for my MA I studied Audiovisual Translation. That's why I'm interested in languages and culture. I also worked as a language teacher in Austria teaching Italian and Spanish.
Apart from that, I've worked in farming and orchards as well. Since I was eighteen, I've been helping in my family's farm and then I got several farm and orchards related jobs in New Zealand. So, I find myself at ease with any jobs pertinent with plants or animals. -
