  • Description

Born & raised in Kenya, Africa I'm currently traveling to explore this beautiful World we live in; I was born in a rural village on the shores of Lake Victoria, Kenya & spent most of my childhood in the living the family farm & is 2hrs drive from Kisumu, the nearest big City. Ever since I was a child I have been so passionate about community work and made this a reality by actively involving myself in community work to serve vulnerable and marginalized people in my community. I also previously worked as Research Assistant for University of California San Francisco(UCSF) research projects in Kenya. I am keen on involving myself in projects that offers me an opportunity to learn and take new ideas of Sustainable projects that I can implement in my community back in Kenya.

Besides these, I am a organic farmer and in our family farm we have several types of birds(Goose, Turkey, Guinea fowl, Ducks, domestic pigeons/doves and rabbits) we are calling the farm "Pith Moromo" a local phrase traslated to "all inclusive & sufficient farming" In the farm we use animal wastes in the farm as organic manure/fertilizer in the vegetables farm and also rabbit urine as pests control. We are also introducing natural herbs/healing plants in the farm and so far we have aloe vera, mints, rosemary plants and Moringa Plants. We have varieties of fruits as well.

As the say goes "The world is full of nice people. If you can't find one, be one" Workaway provides platform and an opportunity to see this world, meet nice people and cultures beyond imagination. Always be nice to people you meet and leave an imprint in their lives that you will forever remembered for. In my previous Workaway engagements I've had amazing experience working in offgrid organic farms. My previous involvement in an offgrid farm in Australia is an eye opener, and learnt just lot.
In all my previous experience, I have had memorable experiences. I am an easy person and I have wealth of experience in manual work. I come from a country where most things are done manually but I have as well gained experience using some machinery and therefore fit for any task given!
