Hey I’m Quinn, I’m from a small island off the west coast of Canada and am looking for a new adventure! I am in between high school and university and want to take some time to explore the world and discover who I am and what I wish to do in the future. I am passionate about helping others and love learning new skills. I am most happy when exploring nature and spending time outdoors, but also love meeting new people and having great conversations. I have a variety of work experience and personal hobbies and am a very fast learner when it comes to new skills. I would describe myself as kind, optimistic and adventurous :)

I love connecting with others and am interested in learning new languages so as to connect with more people in new places I explore. I have studied French in school for 5 years and am continuing to develop. I often try speaking bits of Spanish and German at home with my dad who is fluent in many languages.

Growing up I have developed a wide variety of valuable skills. I am good at following direction and am able to adapt quickly to new situations. I am currently working as a barista at a local Cafe in my home town and have worked there for about 18 months. This summer I am working as an outdoor adventure leader for a nonprofit organization. This includes lots of coordination between participants and staff as well as preparing and leading events. I grew up on a farm so have experience with garden work and tree nurseries. I have done lots of kitchen work and am confident with my food prep and cooking skills as well. I am a hard worker and a fast learner and always love to make work fun by having a great attitude about whatever I am doing!

I really love being active and playing sports. All the way through school I have played soccer and have been on a rowing team for the last 4 years. I also love running and hiking and swimming. I enjoy doing these things by myself as well as with others! I enjoy being creative in many ways, including drawing, sewing, writing and cooking.
