I enjoy hard work! I've had the chance to try my hand at various jobs over the years, and I just want to keep learning more and more.
- On Workaway : with a great friend, I've worked on two smallholdings in Norway and Ireland so far. I was able to learn so much about agriculture, gardening, taking care of farm animals, woodworking, operating farm-related machinery, etc. Both experiences were absolutely life changing for me. I'm just about to start a new experience on an organic farm in Scotland. :)
- Biologist : Most recently, I was working in medical research as a scientist. Paying attention to details was the most important part of my job. I've worked with many college students, helping them with their research. I've also worked in forensic science, so if you're interested in the behind of scenes of true crime investigations, I have a lot to share!
- Animal Health Technician : I'm professionally trained for animal care/nursing. I've been doing this since I was 20. Animals and biodiversity are my true loves! I have worked for a long time in veterinary clinics as an animal health technician and I've acquired excellent animal care skills and customer service skills over time.
- Aquarium educator : I've worked around large groups of people and loved being able to share knowledge about nature and biodiversity. I've had to speak in front of large crowds, which was at first nerve wracking but ultimately so rewarding.
- Summer camp monitor : I worked for a summer camp for disabled children for several years. This experience changed me. I've learned so much about differences and being able to adapt the environment to one's differences. To treat everyone equally, with respect and dignity.
- Art : One of my biggest passions is making comics and I'm currently in the process of making a book (during my spare time)!
I love being around people and I love exchanging life experiences and knowledge! I'm really not afraid of trying anything new - that's in fact what I want!Age
