  • Description

I joined the Workaway community three years ago during my one-year sabbatical in Western Australia. I had several amazing and inspiring Workaway experiences there, mostly involving farming, animal care, and permaculture projects.

I am currently back in Germany, helping my family with our greenhouse business, but I am planning to start travelling and doing Workaways again soon — most likely in (Southern) Europe, especially Italy. Ideally, I would love to combine my travels with my 90% remote part-time job as a personal assistant.

I enjoy getting to know places on a deeper level by living with locals, supporting them in their daily work, learning from their experiences, and exchanging ideas about different lifestyles, perspectives, dreams, and ways of seeing the world.

I am an open-minded and curious person who loves travelling, being surrounded by nature, and spending time with animals. During my time in Western Australia, I volunteered for one month at a wildlife shelter, where I helped care for injured and orphaned native animals.

Back home in Germany, my father runs a plant nursery with a greenhouse, where I usually help out a few days a week. We mainly grow flowers for sale (especially camellias), but we also have a small vegetable garden for ourselves. This has given me a strong connection to gardening, working outdoors, and learning more about permaculture and sustainable ways of living.

I am currently doing a coaching training and I am very interested in personal development, psychology, and understanding people. I am naturally curious and enjoy meaningful conversations and exchanging experiences with others.

I feel most motivated when I can see that my work makes a difference — whether it is helping people, seeing animals recover, or watching plants grow and develop through care and attention.

I became part of the Workaway community because I want to give something back to the countries and communities that have already given me so many unforgettable memories. I look forward to meeting new people, contributing my skills, and continuing to learn from the places and people I encounter.
