Seasonal Agriturismo & Rural Hospitality Support — Full Summer Season — Paid Positions Only

Hello! I am a reliable, hardworking and adaptable solo traveller who loves nature, animals and rural life. I work best in structured environments where I can contribute in practical, hands-on ways and become a stable, trusted part of daily operations during the busy season.

I am currently based in Italy (FG area) and my teaching contract finishes on 19 June (or earlier depending on workload). This means I am available for the full summer season.

I am happy to commit for the full season and support the team wherever needed within hospitality, guest services and daily rural property operations. I am used to early mornings and seasonal work rhythm. I bring strong values and work ethics, always giving 100% — if I take on a task, I do it properly, or not at all.

I have experience in hospitality, rural environments and Workaway exchanges, which makes me comfortable both with guest service and physical daily work.

In Spain, I helped run a Pensión, supporting daily operations across multiple areas. My responsibilities included cleaning guest bedrooms to very high professional standards, preparing simple meals for guests, and managing reception tasks such as check-in and check-out. I understand the importance of organisation, attention to detail, presentation and creating a warm, welcoming environment for guests.

Through Workaway, I have also worked at a horse breeding farm and in country homes with many animals. My responsibilities included animal feeding and care routines, household support, gardening, and helping prepare daily meals. I genuinely love working with animals and feel very comfortable in farm environments and around livestock.

I am very happy with hands-on daily tasks such as cleaning, cooking, gardening, food preparation and full animal care (including stable and barn environments). However, I do not work in technical maintenance, construction, repairs or DIY projects.

I have also travelled and volunteered in India, where I qualified as a Yoga Teacher. Yoga and meditation are part of my daily discipline and help me stay focused, calm and productive. I am happy to support wellbeing-focused environments or guest experiences if useful.

I was born in Brazil, so Portuguese is my mother tongue. I am fluent in English and Spanish and have working knowledge of Italian, which I am actively improving and enjoy practising in daily life.

Professionally, I am an English teacher with over 25 years of experience. This has made me extremely organised, reliable and responsible. I am a quick learner, take initiative easily and take great pride in everything I do — I never do anything halfway.

I am looking for a paid summer position in Italy, particularly in agriturismo, rural hospitality, farms, retreats, country houses or animal-related environments. I am looking for a place where I can contribute consistently, support the team and be a reliable presence throughout the full season.

I value clear communication, mutual respect and professional expectations, and I always aim to bring positive energy, responsibility and high standards to every place I work.

Please feel free to ask me anything — I’m always happy to share more.

    Warm regards,
    Paula

  • More details about your skills

Language teaching and learning – Experienced English teacher; happy to help with language practice, conversation, or informal lessons, and always keen to learn new languages myself.

Animal care & connection – I’ve had pets all my life and naturally connect with animals. I’m attentive, gentle, and genuinely enjoy caring for them.

Gardening & plants – I love working with plants and being outdoors. While I’m still learning, I’m motivated, observant, and happy to help with gardening, planting, and general land care.

Horses – I have a real passion for horses. Although I haven’t yet had the opportunity to care for them daily, I’ve taken basic riding lessons and would love to learn more about horse care if given the chance.

Cooking – A confident, intuitive cook (vegetarian). Nothing fancy, but I’m very good at creating tasty, nourishing meals with whatever is available — and people usually love the results.

Creativity & hands-on projects – Creative and artistic, with a growing interest in chalk painting, up-cycling furniture, and simple decorative or restoration projects.

  • What else ...

I tend to thrive in quieter, smaller settings rather than large group environments. I work best when tasks are focused and calm, and I’m especially comfortable working independently or one-to-one, particularly with animals, children within a family, or hands-on projects. I appreciate clear routines and a peaceful atmosphere, which helps me do my best work and be fully present. Simpler, more personal settings suit me better than busy communal ones.
