Description

Hi, I'm Nikindra. Originally from Minnesota, USA, but have been living/traveling around the US most of my adult life. I've spent a significant amount of time in Hawaii where I I've lived the past couple of years.

I have a lot of past experience as a nanny/au pair working with children of all ages as well as children with special needs. I'm an experienced chef. I used to work as a lead chef at a yoga retreat center in Hawaii and have also done a lot of personal cheffing and catering. I also have work experience in household management and customer service.

This year I'm looking forward to developing my skills in the creative arts (Ableton, music production, acting and singing) and media production (YouTube, instagram). I also have a huge interest in building and construction - I built my bed frame so that's a start:) I'd love to learn more about renovation and/or building tiny homes.

I'm used to living communally. I spent 4 years at the retreat center where I lived and worked in Hawaii. I've lived with many families as an au pair. I really enjoy meeting and connecting with people from diverse backgrounds from all parts of the world. I speak some Spanish and would like to continue to learn more. I'm also interested in learning ESL.

I've done a lot of house sitting and volunteering in the past, but nothing official on workaway to get reviews, so if you'd like, I can provide references.

I'm very down to earth, kind, considerate, and sometimes funny (I think😜). I like having deep conversations over coffee or tea. Having a positive mindset and outlook on life is important to me. I'm not a partier and I don't smoke or use drugs.
