Description
We are Nicole and Giulia, a couple currently based in Florence, Italy!
I'm Nicole, I'm an oil painter originally from Puerto Rico currently studying art conservation and painting in Florence. I have lived in various places before coming to Florence for university. I'm an artist through and through, I love any kind of creative expression including writing, sewing, drawing, journaling and dancing. I look at the world through a creative eye and enjoy capturing the beauty of the world around me. I am fluent in English, Spanish and Italian but I am extremely eager to pick up a new language.
I'm Giulia and I was born and raised in Florence, Italy. I am about to complete my master's degree in Sport Nutrition and have my bachelor's degree in Biology. I love to stay physically active playing basketball, soccer, and have recently started climbing. Aside from my studies, I enjoy reading about psychology, a passion I have held since high school. I have worked numerous times as a babysitter for kids from ages 5 to 10 years old as I enjoy connecting with children. My mother tongue is Italian but I am currently studying English and hoping to improve my knowledge through this experience.
We are both animal lovers, one of our favorite activities is pointing at cute dogs we see throughout our day. We both have multiple cats and consider them part of our little family. We're both very calm and enjoy the simple pleasures in life but are eager to explore the world and learn about different cultures. -

Nicole is passionate about languages and interested in learning a new one as she loves exploring new cultures and finding new ways to express herself. Nicole loves reading and writing and would feel comfortable teaching someone the English language. She has learned Italian during her university studies in Florence and feels at home speaking Spanish as it is the language she speaks with her family and hometown friends. She is fluent in English, Spanish, and Italian. Giulia is interested in improving her English as she hopes to travel the world and communicate with those she meets along the way. As a native Florentine, the city where modern Italian was formulated, Giulia can teach Italian to anyone who is interested in learning it. -

Nicole: I speak English, Spanish, and Italian fluently. I love learning languages and pick them up easily, a trait I inherited from my mother. I have worked curating and organizing various artistic exhibitions and thus have developed organizational, social, and professional skills. During high school, I worked as a volunteer at a Manatee rehabilitation center in which I worked with various marine animals preparing food, cleaning their habitats, and shadowing medical procedures. Im good with my hands and handy with computers.
Giulia: I speak Italian and am currently learning English. I enjoy working with kids and have been a babysitter to kids from ages 5 to 10 years old. I have also worked in various retail jobs which have taught me responsibility, patience, and the importance of working hard for what you want. My studies in nutrition and biology have allowed me to understand how to live a healthy life and in finding equilibrium. -

We are both very curious souls and love learning about history, cultures, current events and fun facts. We like to play video games such as Minecraft, Mario Kart, FIFA, Crash Bandicoot, and Rocket League, just to name a few. We're very passionate about traveling and always have some kind of trip planned to go somewhere.
