Hi, we’re Moritz & Lena from Germany! 🌿
We’re a German couple (26 & 22) who have been travelling through Southeast Asia for the past 8 months. So far we’ve explored Cambodia, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam and Malaysia, and along the way we’ve discovered that volunteering is our favourite way to travel.
Over the course of our trip we’ve spent around two months volunteering at different places, including a farm, a family homestay and a beach campsite. We helped with cleaning, hospitality, painting, decorating, gardening and lots of everyday tasks—always jumping in wherever help was needed.
Our favourite projects have been the creative ones. We love painting walls, signs and furniture, decorating spaces and making places feel more welcoming. We always try to leave every place a little more beautiful than we found it. If you’re curious about our creative work, all the paintings, decorations and art projects shown in our Workaway gallery were created by us during our volunteer stays. 🎨🌿
We’re easy-going, reliable and happy to get our hands dirty. Whether it’s working outdoors, looking after animals, helping guests or learning something completely new, we’re always excited to be part of the team. We’re very social, love meeting new people from all over the world, and easily get along with guests, staff and other volunteers, creating a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. -

Lena is a registered nurse, caring, patient and creative. She loves DIY projects, sewing and making spaces feel warm and welcoming.
Moritz studied Business Administration but also has experience with practical jobs like gardening, logistics and manual work. He enjoys hands-on projects and solving problems.
We both speak fluent German and English (plus a little Spanish), love cooking, hiking, nature and meeting new people.
More than anything, we’re curious, hardworking and grateful for the chance to experience different cultures in a meaningful way. We’d love to meet you and hopefully leave your place just a little brighter than we found it. 🥰 -
