More details about your skills
Mika:
I received my Bachelor's degree in Child Development and minored in Psychology. After that, I obtained my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. I have always had a passion for working with people (children specifically, but not limited to!) and love to learn new life stories! Although that is what my education was in, I have many other hobbies and skills that I enjoy utilizing as well. I enjoy art of many kinds! Whether that is making earrings with clay, crocheting, or learning how to build things with my hands, I enjoy the creative process. I have had a range of jobs including being a zipline guide, barista, swim instructor, preschool teacher and many others.
Abdul "Azeem":
I have a deep passion for traveling and sharing cultures/experiences .My last travel experience I set up a go fund me for doctors with out borders and raised up to $2000 dollars. The premise of the trip was to road bike from San Fransisco, California to Seattle, Washington, which took 30 days. The reason why I choice Doctors Without Borders was because I've worked as a surgical tech for two years. A small, more recent project I did was to help tend my sisters vegetable garden, so I don't shy away breaking some sweat from moving dirt.

Workaway experience:
Together we just spent a little over 2 weeks living with ~15 people on an organic farm in Awa, Tokushima. There we did numerous tasks on the farm such as weeding, harvesting, planting seeds, as well as some house work such as plastering walls. We also had the opportunity to cook for the house on several occasions. We had such a special time getting to know the other workawayers and staff, playing games, exploring the area, cooking, laughing and enjoying a slow farm life. We wish we had planned to stay longer because it was so sad to leave and we hope to find another experience to get to meet new people!
Together, we enjoy spending time outside and finding new ways to be active in the nature. One of our favorite new skills is rock climbing (both bouldering and sport) and are excited to find new areas to utilize this hobby. Hiking, camping, and surfing are also always on our radar! We enjoy cooking together and are happy to learn new recipes and share a love for food!
