Description
Hello, we are Michal & Tereza!
We are nature lovers at heart and truly enjoy being outdoors and staying active—whether it’s a challenging mountain hike or a productive day of physical work. We aren't afraid of getting our hands dirty and actually find manual labor very rewarding.
We love everything that is connected with nature, like working with animals, gardening, or foraging and
for us, the best way to spend time is by being useful, learning new skills from our hosts, and exploring the local culture and landscapes.
We would also love to share some Czech culture with you, perhaps by cooking a traditional meal or sharing stories from our home country.
We look forward to hearing from you.

More details about your skills
Michal's Skills:
I am comfortable working with power tools and doing repairs or general maintenance around the property, such as fixing fences, painting, and wood chopping.
Being a member of the Scouts for more than 10 years has deeply shaped my personality. I have a genuine passion for nature and the forest, and I feel completely at home in the outdoors.
I also enjoy and have experience with landscaping and gardening. Back home in the Czech Republic, I regularly help out with all kinds of garden work, from planting to picking all kinds of fruits, vegetables, and mushrooms. I even have my own private small space in the garden where I grow various herbs and spices.
In the kitchen, Tereza is the expert at baking sweets, while I take charge of the cooking. I’m always keen to learn new things and experiment with different recipes, especially when I can use fresh ingredients. That's the reason for my little herb garden.
Since I am a graduate electrical technician, I can also lend a hand and help with fixing electronics and electrical maintenance.
I hold a Category B driving license (since 2024).
I would rate my English level as upper-intermediate. While I might be a little shy at the beginning, I warm up quickly! I'm really looking forward to this experience to improve my speaking confidence.
Tereza's Skills:
I love animals and have a lot of hands-on experience caring for them. At home, I am responsible for the daily feeding and care of our chickens and rabbits, and I also look after our two cuddly cats.
I am very used to physical outdoor work and gardening. We have a small orchard at home, so I regularly help with picking all kinds of fruit, such as apples, pears, plums, blueberries, raspberries, and strawberries. I also work in the fields planting and harvesting potatoes and carrots, and I help my mom grow vegetables and herbs in our garden.
During the summer harvest, I am used to hard work like cutting grass and drying it to make hay for our animals.
In addition to farm work, I am currently finishing a Secondary Gastronomy School to become a confectioner. And if you would like, I can bake some sweet treats for everyone!
My English is currently at an intermediate level, but I am very hardworking and motivated to learn. I hope this trip will help me pick up the language naturally through everyday tasks, and Michal will gladly help me translate if necessary. -
