Description
Hi! My name is Mia, and I’m going to be traveling across Asia next year. I’m excited to take part in meaningful projects, volunteering in schools, farms, animal shelters, and more, while building genuine friendships along the way. I believe in slow travel, as it allows me to deeply immerse myself in new cultures, discover historic sites, and savour local street foods. For me, it’s not just about visiting a place—it’s about understanding its people and leaving it better than I found it. I’m passionate about the exchange of knowledge and sharing experiences. I’m particularly excited about the opportunity to immerse myself in the local traditions, stories, and ways of life that I might otherwise miss in a rush.
As a passionate videographer and documentary filmmaker, I’m always on the lookout for compelling stories. The idea of capturing the real, unsung narratives of the communities I will work with is something that truly excites me. Whether it's documenting a local tradition, telling the story of a volunteer project, or exploring the challenges and triumphs of everyday life, I find deep joy in bringing these stories to life through film. I believe that every place has a story that could become an intriguing film, and I hope to find and share these stories along the way.

Along with an open mind and a strong desire to immerse myself in different cultures, I'm also a documentary filmmaker so I have a keen eye for storytelling and capturing authentic moments. I thrive on discovering and sharing the unique stories of people, places, and projects, and I love to get to know people on a deeper level. My eagerness to connect with others and understand their perspectives means I approach every new experience with curiosity and respect. I enjoy listening to people’s stories and am always looking for opportunities to learn and share knowledge in return.
I also have a passion for animal welfare and conservation. I’d be thrilled to contribute to any project focused on animal care or environmental protection, particularly those that involve working with species I might not have the chance to encounter in the UK, like elephants, turtles, or monkeys. The opportunity to help protect endangered animals or participate in projects that aim to conserve beautiful wildlife is something I would truly value and thrive in. Whether it’s providing care, supporting educational programs, or helping with hands-on conservation work, I am dedicated to making a meaningful impact.
