🌿Hello Everybody :)
We are Mel (39) and Macarena (28), two Argentine friends currently living and working in Andorra in the hospitality industry.
For the past months, we have been dreaming and planning our journey to New Zealand. More than just traveling, we truly want to experience the country from the inside — through meaningful exchange, daily life, shared work and real connection with local people, so Workaway feels like the perfect way to do that.
We both come from a strong hospitality background, so responsibility, good communication and service mindset are part of who we are.
🌱 Nature plays a very important role in our lives. We both feel happiest outdoors — surrounded by green landscapes, mountains, fresh air and simple living. Nature keeps us grounded and inspired 🤩
Mel has experience in hospitality, restaurants and cafés, and has also done simple field work such as clearing weeds, organizing vineyard rows and helping with outdoor tasks. She has participated in volunteer projects before and loves languages, cinema, reading and winter sports like snowboarding. She enjoys meeting people from different backgrounds and building genuine connections.
Macarena studies Health & Safety, which makes her very organized, methodical and detail-oriented. She has a creative soul and loves handicrafts — she can create almost anything with her hands. She is also a very good cook and truly enjoys preparing meals for others.
We work very well as a team. We are independent, mature, proactive and respectful. We understand responsibility, shared spaces and commitment. At the same time, we bring warmth, positive energy and a sincere desire to contribute.
We are planning to stay in New Zealand for 5–6 months

Mel has a natural talent for languages. She enjoys teaching and sharing her language and culture, and can offer Spanish lessons in a warm, clear, and engaging way. She also has a very high level of English and is fluent in French, which allows her to communicate easily and adapt to different cultural environments. She is especially motivated to help others gain confidence and fluency when expressing themselves. Maca is highly motivated to continue learning English. She is interested in deepening her knowledge of the language, improving her skills, and discovering new ways to communicate, always with a curious, open attitude and a strong willingness to learn.

New Zealand has been calling us for its landscapes, its strong connection to nature and its outdoor lifestyle. We admire the respect for land and community that the country represents.
We don’t want to experience New Zealand only as tourists. We want to wake up there, work there, share meals, learn from locals and truly understand daily life.
We are ready to help with enthusiasm, consistency and care — and to create a meaningful exchange for both sides.

Mel is vegetarian and Maca is intolerant to gluten. However, we are both very used to living in environments where all kinds of foods are consumed, so we know how to easily adapt to the products available.
