Hi there! I’m Meryyy (short for Meritxell)

I’m a curious, positive, and optimistic person. A nature lover, vegan, feminist, and always ready for a new adventure.

I’m planning to travel to Australia because I feel it’s a place that will let me deeply connect with nature; something that truly makes me happy. I believe in the beautiful work done by sanctuaries and the people who dedicate their time to helping animals in need.

Some of the things I love most are hiking in the mountains, swimming in the sea or rivers, enjoying manga and anime, rollerblading, and dancing sevillanas! 💃

I’ve previously volunteered with El Hogar Animal Sanctuary in Barcelona, where I lived for a year (one of the happiest times of my life). Now I’m looking for new meaningful experiences that fill my heart and let me keep learning and growing :))))

I studied culinary and restaurant service management, and I’ve been working in the hospitality industry for 10 years. This experience has taught me how to lead a team, organize and distribute tasks, create checklists, and make sure everything is how it's supposed to be.

But my true self is a nature lover. I had the beautiful experience of living in an animal sanctuary for a year (El Hogar Animal Sanctuary) , where I learned to care for pigs, sheep, goats, pigeons, roosters, hens, and rabbits. I took care of cleaning and maintaining their spaces, checking their health, feeding them, observing their behavior, giving them medication when needed and more!

I’m vegan, and besides everything mentioned above, I also know how to cook, clean, and I’m a flexible person who loves learning new things :))
