Description
Hi there, I’m Matt, a fun loving, easy-going traveller originally from Sweden. I have been living a very free, nomadic inspired life for more then 20 years. Travelling only with my backpack and the few belongings I posses and need, which isn’t much.
I got into hitchhiking in 2011 by trying my luck thumbing my way up from Portugal to The Netherlands. Since then I have been thumbing my way through 35 countries. I love exploring/adventuring/hiking new countries, cities and their nature areas. Learn about new cultures, music, food and traditions.
I started a new hitchhiking trip in June 2025 with the aim of travelling new places, learn more about food cultures in different countries, animal rescue care and NGO work in any kind of field I can share my skills.
I worked as a cook for many years, travelled a lot with foods, hoping to learn new skills and recipes, share the ones I have and know. Also volunteered in a dog shelter where I learnt a lot about dog handling from a good dog trainer, also skills that I'd like to develop and share.

Been nicknamed "MacGyver" through some of the jobs at have had due to my ability to fix things in some very creative ways.
