Hi! My name is Marvin, I’m currently studying geosciences in Germany. I really enjoy learning about nature, the earth and how the world works, but right now I also feel like I need a break from university life to see more of the world and gain new experiences.
I would describe myself as an open-minded, humorous and active person. I’m social and usually connect quickly with new people, but of course I also enjoy having some quiet time now and then. I like trying new things and I’m open to almost every kind of activity. I’m definitely not afraid of hard work and I always try to stay positive and motivated.

In my free time I love sports, especially volleyball, but honestly I enjoy almost every kind of physical activity. I also like festivals, board games, nature, animals and spending time outdoors. Scandinavia especially interests me because I really love forests, nature and the whole atmosphere there.

For me, Workaway is not only about travelling, but also about meeting inspiring people, experiencing different cultures and maybe even finding friends for life around the world. I want to learn new skills, discover what is really important in life and grow through new experiences.

I speak fluent German and decent English, and I’m always happy to improve my language skills and learn from other people.

I already have some experience with childcare and helping in animal care, including cleaning animal stalls and taking care of basic tasks around animals.

Through my studies in geosciences, I’ve also spent a lot of time outdoors during excursions and field trips. I’m used to hiking, being outside in different weather conditions and staying active — whether it’s hot summer weather or rainy days.

Since I have already lived alone, I can also help with everyday household tasks like cleaning, basic cooking and keeping things tidy and organized.

I enjoy working in teams, meeting new people and learning by doing. I’m motivated, physically active and always willing to help wherever needed.
