Description
Hello! I’m Marije, born in Holland, living after 15 years Spain, in Portugal at the moment. We bought a house 4 years ago and living our life, off the grid, without electricity or running water, except the rain and our stream, which is our everyday bath.
We cut our wood from the forest for the woodstove, in our garden we have all kinds of veggies and on our land many different fruittrees.
I’m together with my husband, 2 rescued dogs Lili & Roni and cat Juli.
I am always outside, working in the garden, on the house, or in the kitchen baking bread, making kombucha or other (herbal) things. Learning new things about medical plants, tinctures etc.
I traveled the last 4 months (january-June) alone, while my husband stayed at home.
First i went to Holland, visiting my family, met my daughter Lune there and together we traveled to India, Tamil Nadu. We had a wonderful time, visiting amazing temples, stayed 3 weeks in Auroville, 2 weeks in the Sivananda Ashram and our last week in Mysore before we took the plane to Brisbane.
In Australia we visited my youngest daughter Mare, who is living in Byron Bay since a while. A beautiful reconnection with the three of us.
After a quick family visit in Holland i'm back home again!

When i was living in Holland, graphic design was my profession, after two studies at the school of Art.
When i moved to Spain i changed my life completely and i did everything what was coming on my path. I start following my hart more and more. Less computers more outside life in nature!
Horeca, cooking, cleaning, animalcare, organizing, marketing, managing, etc.
These last years in Portugal i learned a lot about the garden, permaculture, plants, veggies, herbal/ medical plants, off grid living, cooking, canning, fermentation , sourdough bread baking, kombucha and so on.
i really love to share and learn much more about this!
