Hello there! :)
My name is Maria, I am 31 years old and I live in a small town called Arkhangelsk in the North of Russia.
I started my international volunteer experience in 2014. So far, I participated in five foreign volunteer projects in France, Serbia, Italy, Nepal, Mongolia and Turkey where I was engaged in an extensive spread of environments and spheres such as festival organisation, historical and environmental activities, recycling, English teaching and art. I am eager to work and help in different areas including art, renovation and teaching English.
The opportunity to be a workawayer can give me a real chance to try my organizational and international skills. Besides it is a great way to help people all around the world, get to know a new culture and can greatly develop personal qualities and resilience.

Eight years ago I graduated from the Northern Arctic Federal University where I gained a bachelor degree in English linguistics and theory of translation. Despite hard work on the foreign languages I participated in the extra-curricular activities. I was a member of associated student board where I organised various activities, cultural events, workshops and master-classes for students.
I also gained experience in communicating with children while working at the Centre of Foreign Languages and teaching pre-school children English language. I organised the work and learning of children using various methodologies, programs and games. Since 2018 I have been working as an international relations protocol officer in a regional government and consider this job to be the most profitable and valuable so far. I developed extensive skills working with people of different ranks and occupational status. Due to this job, I have learnt how to make everyone feel welcomed and respected, how to work beforehead and "behind-the-scenes". -
