Description
Growing up in an area full of wilderness - waterfalls, lakes, and forests - I've always loved being outside, exploring, and working with my hands. However, through various jobs in customer service, at nonprofits, and caring for children, I've developed a love for working with people and on a team just as much as my enjoyment of being in nature. As an adult, I've brought these two passions together through various volunteering opportunities on urban farms, at farmers markets, and compost collection sites.
Travel has always been an important aspect of my life to bring fresh perspectives, get me out of my comfort zone, and connect with new people and places. I'm excited to embark on some Workaway adventures so I can continue to embrace these passions but also take the opportunity to discover something new.

I've held a variety of positions over the years, including most recently working in communications and fundraising at an arts nonprofit. Additionally I have worked in childcare and customer service and have multiple years of applicable volunteer experience.
Customer service experience:
- 2 years as host and server at restaurant
- 2.5 years as receptionist at spa
Outdoor/agriculture experience
- 4 years as volunteer on an urban farm assisting with weeding, mulching, planting/transplanting, harvesting, cover cropping etc.
- 2 years as volunteer at farmers market assisting with community compost collection
