Description
I am a warm, motivated, adventurous person who loves exploring different cultures, outdoor activities, and generally meeting new people.
Having lived in an international environment for several years, I thrive on engaging meaningfully with people from different cultures and deeply value genuine, real human connections based on learning from both sides.
As a volunteer, I pride myself on bringing trustworthiness, adaptability, and joy into every home I join.
I am deeply respectful of household schedules, personal boundaries, shared spaces, and local cultural norms.
For me, volunteering is a true exchange, and I especially value the warmth of shared meals, great conversations, and contributing to a calm, harmonious household.
Professionally, I am a highly experienced language educator fluent in four languages (Italian, English, Spanish, and French).
My teaching background spans all age groups, including several years as a language educator at the tertiary level as well as five years teaching English in a preschool setting for an international school in Hong Kong.
Because of this diverse experience, I am passionate about adapting my teaching to spark joy and confidence in any learner.
I am highly motivated by seeing young children grow through active, playful discovery, but I am equally skilled at helping older students prepare for and succeed in advanced language exams.
I excel at building a supportive atmosphere where students feel proud to speak, learn from mistakes, and celebrate progress together.
I have always been just as eager to roll up my sleeves for outdoor tasks, gardening, animal care, farm work or keeping a house running smoothly as I am to teach. I look forward to connecting with welcoming hosts and creating wonderful, mutual experiences! -

What else ...
Outside of teaching, I love playing board games like Scrabble, Ticket to Ride, Monopoli, and Codenames, especially with kids, as they’re great for language practice!
I’m passionate about hiking, exercising, horse riding, and spending time at beaches.
I also enjoy cooking (especially Italian cuisine), trying new foods, learning about local culture, reading, travelling, and meeting people from different places.
As an adventurous person, I’m always excited to try new activities, explore the outdoors, and join in on whatever the host community loves doing. -
