Hallo, hello, namaste, bonjour, ni hao!
We are Sanne and Lucas, a couple from the Netherlands. We are currently travelling through Asia (October'25-March'26) and Europe (March'26-July'26). During our travels we want to meet new people, learn their language and get to know other cultures and local customs. We love sharing stories and want to see the world from different perspectives.
*A bit about ourselves*
We are a couple for almost four years. We do have our own interests but what we share together is our passion for exploring, being outdoors and being openminded to meet others and learn from what the world has to offer us. We also value a sustainable lifestyle.
Sanne: I am Sanne. I have a background in Communications. In my work I contribute to women's rights and climate projects, which is also a passion of mine. In my free time I love to cook and try new recipes. Specifically learning how to use seasonal vegetables makes me enthusiastic. Besides I also make time to craft DIY-projects like knitting and grow my own veggies. I would like to learn more about working in the garden. Lastly, I am very interested in Chinese culture and the Chinese language. For this year I would love to learn French and immerse myself in the French culture.
Lucas: I'm Lucas. I worked in the emergency department the past year. Besides my work I have been volunteering as a scouts leader for more than 5 years (before this I was a scout myself). I enjoy being outdoors, jogging and reading. I am fond of learning new languages because I love to communicate with others in their native language. While workawaying I would like to share experiences and also learn practical skills in maintenance and building projects. Like Sanne, I would very much like to improve my French.
