We are nearing the end of our first workaways in beautfiful Menorca, Spain!

We will continue travelling Europe for the next two months and are therefore looking for our next volunteer opportunity!

Description

We’re both motivated by connection, new experiences, and making a positive contribution wherever we go. We love meeting new people, learning about different cultures, and fully immersing ourselves in the places we stay, not just passing through.

Between us, we bring a mix of creativity, initiative, ingenuity and hands-on skills. Azura thrives on creating engaging, people-focused experiences, drawing on her background as a mother's help, nanny, speech pathologist and practice manager, bringing structure and organisation to daily routines while keeping the environment fun, creative and nurturing.
Luis thrives on building, fixing, servicing and working on practical projects, backed by 10 years of experience in the trade industry as an electrician, along with his work in disability support, bringing a strong problem-solving mindset to every task.
Together we feel we make a great team!

We enjoy staying active, whether that’s outdoors exploring, surfing, or snowboarding when we get the opportunity! At the same time, we value the simple things; healthy food, good conversations, and a friendly, easy going environment.

We’re reliable, open-minded, and enjoy working as part of a team where there’s mutual respect and shared effort. For us, the most rewarding experiences are the ones where we can learn, grow, and leave a positive impact.

Between us, we bring a mix of childcare, hands-on, and practical skills.

Azura has over four years of experience as a nanny, alongside a background in Speech Pathology. She spent four years of her career working in private practice supporting children of all neurotypes. Developing an understanding of individual needs and supports to ensure children thrive in their environment. She has cared and supported children of different ages (1-18 years of age) creating safe, engaging environments and supporting daily routines, while also helping with cooking, cleaning, and keeping a household running smoothly. She also has experience as a practice manager and in administrative roles, giving her strong organisational and leadership skills. Her background has fostered a patient, calm and nurturing approach to everything she does.

Luis is a qualified electrician with a wide range of hands-on experience, accompanied by a background in disability care gained through support work. Luis enjoys building, fixing, maintaining and servicing a wide range of equipment and household items. One of his side hobbies has been fixing Dyson vacuum cleaners. Luis is confident helping with practical tasks, maintenance, repairs and physical labour.

Together, we’re proactive, reliable, and happy to help wherever needed, whether that’s childcare, household tasks, gardening or hands-on projects. We’re easy to live with, communicate openly, and bring a positive, can-do attitude to everything we do.

What else ...

We lived together in an apartment in Newcastle, Australia for a year before embarking on six months of travel, so we’re experienced at living and working as a team.

Azura has a wide range of interests and loves staying active and creative. She’s been lucky to travel from a young age, which shaped her curiosity and appreciation for new experiences. She enjoys snowboarding, surfing, cooking, sewing, reading, and spending time outdoors, in the ocean, the mountains, or exploring new places. Health, wellbeing, and mindfulness are important to her, and she enjoys cooking, pilates, meditation, and learning about natural ways to support the body. She also loves animals and is always happy to help care for them.

Luis brings a mix of hands-on skills and people-focused experience, and he’s equally passionate about staying active. He loves surfing, exploring coastal towns, hiking, and spending time outdoors. He’s very hands-on , whether building, fixing, or improving spaces and enjoys using his skills to contribute meaningfully. Alongside his trade experience, he’s worked in disability support, which strengthened his patience, adaptability, and teamwork skills.

Together, we’re motivated by being active, engaged, and creative, whether outdoors, in the home, or as part of a community. We love exploring, learning, and contributing wherever we are, while making the most of every day.

We also share an interest in photography and have our camera and DJI underwater camera with us. We have had lots of fun documenting our travels. We love capturing moments both on land and in the ocean, and enjoy the creative process. We would be more than happy to help with any creative projects you might have!

  Azura: I am gluten intolerant and try to avoid eating it where possible. Small amounts are okay! I also try reduce my dairy and sugar intake too as that's what makes me feel best but I'm a big foodie and love trying all the things so arent strict!
