Description
My name is Louisa Roeper. I’m 19 years old, and I'm currently completing my senior year of high school. I live on the outskirts of Berlin in Germany, and I have 3 younger siblings, who I spend a lot of time with. Besides loving to travel, I like hanging out with my friends and doing activities together like cooking, going for hikes or painting together and visiting art exhibitions. Furthermore, I love many different sports like skateboarding, surfing, soccer, yoga or boxing, which I try to find as much time as possible for. I' call myself a very open and adventurous person, who likes to meet new people and get to know other cultures, but also wants to share their own. Most people describe me as easy going, because I pretty much get along with everyone and I don’t take up a lot of space. To my mind, I’m good at handling stressful situations, which I leaned by doing my job as a waitress. My motivation for doing a work exchange with Workaway lies in cultural exchange and getting to know new places and local people, but also get in contact with other travellers from around the world and share experiences in order to learn more about different beliefs and moreover get to know a new perspective on how people with such different backgrounds view my home.

More details about your skills
I’m good at handling stressful situations, which I learned by doing my job as a waitress (I have a job as a waitress and I work as a babysitter part time).
I am also currently working as a volunteer for a project in Berlin, Kreuzberg called “wellcome- practical help after birth” where I support a single mom and her 3 month old babygirl Evean. I do tasks like taking care of the baby and completing house chores like cleaning, cooking and gardening sometimes, to give her some time off.
I already have a lot of travel experience because since I was little, I have traveled a lot with my family. We have been to many unusual and special places around the globe and had the opportunity to meet numerous inspiring people and cultures. I first traveled by myself when I did my exchange year (2021/22) in Lake Mills, a small town in Wisconsin, US. That experience was not only so much fun and drastically improved my English skills, but it also made me much more independent and self-confident. In the same year after my coming back home, I backpacked Europe with my best friend, who I had met in the US during my exchange year. All in all my strongest skills lay in social work such as child care, service jobs and teaching the German/ English language, but I am also good and neat in jobs like housekeeping, cleaning and cooking.Age
