Description
Hello everyone! My name is Louis, I’m 20 years old and I live in Lille, in the north of France.
I’m currently studying engineering at ICAM, and thanks to my studies I have the opportunity to spend four months abroad.
Let me start by introducing myself a little!
I’m a curious person who loves learning new things, but who also enjoys his comfort zone. That’s exactly why I want to make this trip a chance to push myself — to step out of my comfort zone, go on an adventure, discover new cultures, meet people from different backgrounds and learn more about the world around me.
For this journey, I’ve chosen South Korea. Why? Simply because I’ve always found Asian culture fascinating — the architecture, the beautiful landscapes, and the rich history.
I also practice taekwondo, a martial art I recently got back into and that I’m very passionate about, both for its values and for its technique. Since taekwondo was created in South Korea, it felt only natural for me to go and discover its birthplace and the spirit behind it.
Of course, that’s not my only goal. I also want to learn more about the country, its culture, meet new people, and help wherever I can. -

More details about your skills
Thanks to my engineering studies, I’ve had the chance to develop a wide range of skills. I enjoy understanding how things work and finding practical solutions.
I’ve taken part in several technical projects, including the design and programming of small robots. These experiences taught me how to work as part of a team, stay organized, and keep calm when things don’t work out the first time!
I’m also someone who enjoys being active and adapting to physical tasks. I like doing hands-on work, building or taking things apart to see how they function.
Outside of my studies, sports have taught me a lot — especially taekwondo, which has given me discipline, respect, and perseverance.
I speak French (my native language) and a bit of English. I’d like to improve my English and learn the basics of Korean during my stay.
I’d also be happy to help others practice their French and share my culture if it can be useful!
Finally, I’m a motivated, cheerful person who’s always eager to learn new things. Even if I don’t know everything yet, I’m always ready to discover, contribute, and share my positive energy. -

What else ...
I want to recharge in nature, enjoy a simpler rhythm, and step away from the comfort I have in France.
This trip is a chance for me to disconnect from technology, slow down, and reconnect with myself and the world around me.
I also enjoy listening to music, watching movies or anime, and playing board games.
I’m a simple, positive, and sociable person — and above all, I love to laugh and share good moments with others -
