Hi there!
We are Onno (32) and Lobke (31) from from the Netherlands. We are a maried couple and back home Onno works as an architect and Lobke works as a primary school teacher.
This year we have the privilege to travel and explore the world, and above all learn from people, nature and culture.
Because we realise that travelling does not always contribute to a better world, but we do feel that need, we have the wish to use our skills for social and/or sustainable projects in the countries we visit.

Lobke:
Lobke has a strong background in the NGO sector and knows what it takes to run one effectively. She also has experience as a primary school teacher, combining structure with creativity in her work. During a volunteer project in Cambodia, she taught English to children—an experience that deepened her passion for education and working with communities. Lobke is someone who takes initiative and isn’t afraid to get things done. She’s enjoying activities like writing, drawing, cooking, and gardening. With a love for movement and challenge, she likes running, yoga, and CrossFit—and recently completed the Camino in Spain. As she travels, she’s excited to keep learning, with surfing and diving next on her list.
Onno:
Onno brings a mix of technical insight, creative mind, practical skills, and a proactive attitude. He is great at thinking along on technical matters and enjoys contributing ideas that help move projects forward. Handy and solution-oriented, Onno is not afraid to roll up his sleeves—whether it’s fixing things, building, or taking on a hands-on task. He enjoys learning from others and is always curious to expand his skills by working with new people. He likes to draw and do cycling in his free time.

We had the opportunity to get our PADI certification and then restore coral at one of the sites where the place carries out its work. We were also allowed to help build an eco-camp on Mount Klabat.
