Hi my name is Linda. I grew up in Germany, later moved to Canada,where I have lived for 50 years now. 3 adult kids. 4 grandchildren. I am 75 years young. i have lived/worked overseas several times, teaching English (Brazil, Czech Republic, Spain, Romania, Hungary).
I love animals and have fostered for local shelters, also currently, as well as privately. Mostly cats. Through workaway I have helped care for donkeys (Clovelly), and horses (Tiverton).
I love the outdoors rain or shine. Camping and hiking are my favourite outdoor activities in Canada.
Am well travelled and a life-long learner. I love exploring new cultures and places. Adaptable, Sociable and friendly. Kind-hearted. Various interests - from nature to environmental issues, history and old ruins, good conversation, books. But also quiet times. Have done various types of volunteer work in Calgary, Boys and Girls Club, animal rescue, teaching English.
I am a spiritual person and have recently explored the Vipassana meditation practice. Now retired from my job as a senior caregiver. I am excited to explore opportunities I didn't have time for..

I am interested in meditation, having attended a meditation retreat recently. I am interested in history, and cultures. I have travelled and worked abroad, particularly Brazil, Romania, and Prague. I love literature, mostly historical. I just finished walking Hadrian's Wall. I am a grandmother with 4 grandkids. My interests are many and I am curious about anything new that I can learn

I spent 3 weeks with Sue and Bart and the 14 donkeys. Thank you for teaching me so much about donkeys, their needs, and donkey issues worldwide. You could not find more dedicated 'donkey people'.
