I'm a solo artist/singer-songwriter, creating music from the raw emotions of life and being. Most of my inspiration comes from nature — I feel the most alive and at peace when I'm surrounded by it. It doesn’t have to be conventionally “beautiful”; I find beauty in things just as they are — untouched, honest, and real. That’s also what I look for in music — not something made to sound perfect, but something so raw and genuine that it reveals the beauty of life itself.

I feel like my purpose is to pour my soul into my art. That can be difficult in the hectic, often artificial environment of city life. What I’m really looking for through Workaway is a chance to reconnect — with nature, with people, and with the deeper layers of life. I’d love to be in a place where music can move freely, where conversations go beyond the surface, and where creativity and simplicity go hand in hand.

I have taught both Japanese and English before and am passionate about teaching because languages open up completely new worlds. I studied Spanish up to A-level and would love to continue advancing in it, as I deeply appreciate the language and culture. I’ve also always wanted to learn Chinese — I find the written characters and spoken sounds fascinating and especially beautiful when heard in songs.

I’m half Japanese and half English, born and raised in London. I went to a Japanese school there until I was 18, so I’ve grown up deeply connected to both cultures and can move between them easily. I also studied Spanish at school, which helped me develop an even stronger appreciation for different cultures and ways of communicating.

My main expertise is in music. I studied at the University of Southampton and specialise in piano, singing, songwriting, composition, music production, and teaching. I’ve been teaching piano since I was 15 and have also taught both Japanese and English. These experiences have taught me how to adapt to different people’s needs and support their growth by understanding them on a deeper level.
Beyond music, I’ve worked as a team leader, guiding foreign students around London during summer programmes. I loved sharing my culture while learning about theirs, and it helped me become even more open-minded and communicative. I’ve also helped organise events, concerts, and a summer festival — experiences that taught me how to collaborate creatively, handle logistics, and bring ideas to life as part of a team.

Sports have also played a big role in my life. I’ve played softball since I was young and was captain of my university team. I also played volleyball and grew up playing basketball with my older brother. While I don’t have direct experience with farming yet, I’m physically active, a quick learner, and always ready to take on new challenges.

Recently, I’ve been exploring art as another creative outlet and enjoy expressing feelings through acrylic painting. Lately, I’ve also taken to capturing moments through drawing rather than just taking photos. While I’ve always loved nature, I forgot to mention how much I enjoy being in the sea. I’ve tried surfing a couple of times and would love to do more. I’m also getting interested in videography and hope to combine my music with videos I create myself in the future.
