Hello, I’m Lily! I’m 23 from Wales and I’ve been travailing parts of Europe and south east Asia since January. I’ve done 7 other workaways before, some with friends and some by myself. Before travelling I worked at a small pub in my home town for 3 years. As much as I loved working there I was definitely ready to go and explore different parts of the world and immerse myself in other cultures. I’ve loved all my workaway experiences so far and can’t wait to meet more people through this amazing platform.

I’ve worked in various hospitality roles for the past 7 years. I started working on a Farm Park when I was 16 and after 3 years I did a Winter Season in Lapland. Then after Covid I worked in a local pub until the end of 2023.

I’ve picked up loads of skills over the years. Some of which include being able to work in fast-paced environments, cleaning indoors and outdoors, customer service, kitchen and bar skills, child-minding, and general maintenance. I consider myself to be a hard worker and I’m always eager to learn new skills and willing to get stuck into anything, such as cooking, cleaning, gardening, etc. I also have experience working with children and a range of animals.

I’m a creative and outgoing person, and because I live in the Brecon Beacons, it is only natural that I love the outdoors. I will always approach any job with high effort and enthusiasm as I’m passionate about developing new skills while I travel!

From January to July I have been travelling with a friend. We did three workaways at the beginning of the year in Portugal and Spain. We then went backpacking around Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines. I’m now travelling around Greece for three moths before I head to New Zealand in September.

I’m a massive animal lover and a creative person. I enjoy exploring new environments and always appreciate recommendations from the locals. Having worked in the hospitality industry, I have a growing appreciation for food and wines, which I would love to continue to develop by exploring different cultures and cuisines.

Lily and Ella stayed at our Quinta for four weeks. Within that time, they took marvelous care of our animals. Especially the dogs were in for a treat.
